The club is mourning another loss of a bowling member with the sudden death of David Noble at the age 61 years.
David only eight weeks ago won the minor singles final when he defeated Eric Willacy.
Six weeks ago he skippered the Bowral pennant team against Picton in the last round of the season.
Our deepest condolences to his family.
Zone 5
The Bowral team of Ashley Lewis, Kevin Stafford, Garry Brown and Mick Anderson have reached the semi-finals stage in Zone 5 after some impressive wins.
They now meet Penrith this coming Saturday with the match to be played at Bowral, commencing at 8:30 am.
This is a great achievement by the Bowral side but they must remember that they have had good leads in early rounds only to drop 8-10 shots very quickly before digging deep to get out of trouble.
So remember fellows, keep the concentration up for the full 21 ends.
Match of the day
A winner couldn't be decided in the Match of the Day last Wednesday at Bowral Bowling Club.
Kel Limbrick and Glen Giese played out a 17-17 draw against Brian Bailey and Viv Gear.
The first half of the match was very tight with Limbrick and Giese just ahead 10-6. Bailey and Gear then snatched the lead on the 17th end, 15-13.
Limbrick and Giese would then respond in kind, winning the next two ends to re-take the lead 17-15.
The last two ends went to Bailey and Gear and with 21 ends played neither team claimed victory and instead settled for a draw.
