The 65-year-old announced on Friday he'll perform at Lismore, Grafton, Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie, Newcastle, Wollongong, Bathurst and Dubbo throughout August.
"I really love connecting with audiences in regional communities and it's going to be particularly special to tour around Bundjalung country, where my father was from, with shows in Lismore and Grafton in particular," Roach said.
"Performing in smaller regional venues feels more intimate. I think the audiences understand a little more about what it is I talk and sing about; how community can be strong and there for each other as community should."
Last year Roach, who is a member of the Stolen Generation, celebrated the 30th anniversary of his acclaimed debut album Charcoal Lane, which featured his most iconic songs Took The Children Away and Down City Streets.
To celebrate Charcoal Lane, Roach was supposed to embark on a farewell national tour, but it was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Roach's memoir Tell Me Why, and its accompanying ARIA top-10 album, was released in 2019 and only further accentuated his legacy as an artist and activist for Indigenous rights.
