The Blue Square Art Competition
- May 27-June 6, Bowral District Art Society Gallery, 10:00am - 4:00pm
The Blue Square Art competition continues, and finishes this weekend. Arthead co-founder and exhibition founder Sonja Millis also invites attendees to join her for a chat and a reflection on the legacy of her husband on Friday night. Australian poet Mark Tredinnick will read a series of poems from his new collection Walking Underwater along with other poets in an intimate night of music and poetry on June 5. Mr Tredinnick's brother Teddychook has reworked his brother's poems from last year into new songs that will debut on the night.
Pie Tea
- Every Saturday until June 30, Old Bank Hotel Mittagong, 10:00am - 2:00pm
With Pie Time now upon us, perhaps you want to start it on a daintier note. You can head over to the Old Bank Hotel in Mittagong to indulge in some decadent pies, and assorted pastries and sandwiches at their Pie Tea. Bookings over 10 people can enjoy the delicacies throughout the week by appointment. Bookings can be secured by calling 0419 982 191.
Exeter Markets
- December 4, Exeter Park, 9am - 1:30pm
The first Saturday of the month means the Exeter markets are back! The outdoor market offers entertainment for all its visitors. Browse over 50 stalls producing handmade textiles, jewellery, preserves and freshly grown produce. Children can play in the playground while the adults browse and enjoy the live music.
Music at Ten: Tony Lee
- June 5, Soldier's Memorial Hall, 10:00am - 11:00am
Enjoy the symphonies of Beethoven, Rachmaninov Etudes and Preludes and dances of the opera Red Detachment of Women by Du and Wu by pianist Tony Lee. Tickets can be secured online. Arts Bundanoon recommends arriving at the venue with a printed ticket, and that guests maintain social distancing. Masks are optional.
Southern Highlands Symphony Orchestra
- June 5 at 7:30pm- June 6 2:30pm, Oxley College
The Southern Highlands Symphony Orchestra is back for their second concert series of the year this weekend. Guests will be treated to Scandinavian and Czechian melodies, along with a new Australian composition. Highlands violinist and pianist Alexandra Dening will also feature. Tickets can be purchased online, or at the Destination Southern Highlands Welcome Centre.
Pie Drive

The Australian Haydn Ensemble: Beethoven's Pastoral

The Australian Haydn Ensemble is bringing the symphonies of Beethoven and Mozart to the Highlands. Sit back and enjoy the ensemble's performances of Beethoven's Pastoral symphony and Mozart's Haffner Serenade. Tickets can be secured online.
