Moss Vale High School student Remi Mant is one step closer to the NRL after qualifying in the Southern NSW Combined High Schools rugby league sides.

Remi was selected in the open boys team in the front row after competing in a three day tournament down the coast.
The Year 11 student will compete for a position in the NSW team later this month.
"It is pretty exciting to be chosen," he said.
"Qualifying for the state is another pathway into the NRL."
He grew up playing rugby league with his older brother and has been playing since he was four.
He currently plays for the Western Suburbs Magpies in the junior West Tigers team.

The 17-year-old admitted that he was initially "not meant to play" when he was younger due to being too young for the sport.
"I went to school earlier to play earlier," he said.
Mr Mant also mentioned that he is one of the youngest members of his team.
Deputy principal Matthew Carlyon said it is "quite the achievement considering he is a year younger"
"Remi has been putting in hard work outside of school," he said.
"It is a great reward."
