The event, in its second year after being postponed in 2020, was attended by 70 golfers with the shared aim of raising money for the 4K charity who help children with special needs around the Southern Highlands.
Organiser and foundation member of 4K, Tony Springett, said he was 'very happy' with the amount raised and support from local business.
"There were 70 competitors on the day," Mr Springett told the Southern Highlands News.
"It was an excellent day with what looks like $14,500 raised so we're obviously very happy with that.
"The food and drinks we sold and presented were donated by publicans. Peter Dean from the Royal Hotel, the Burrawang Hotel and the Bundanoon Hotel, Tom Porter from the Moss Vale Hotel, the Taphouse and the Argyle.
"All the money goes to the 4K and all money raised goes to help special needs kids in the Southern Highlands. We've been going since 1989 and raised over $3 million in that time so it's definitely made a difference."
While the Golf Day is still in its infancy 4K, which stands for Kollege of Knowledge Kommittee for Kids, have been operating in the Southern Highlands for over three decades.
Mr Springett said the charity originated from a simple pub meet-up that evolved into an organisation running programs for children with special needs all over the region.
"I'm the only foundation member left," he said.
"We used to go down to the Bowral Hotel and watch the rugby league grand final and we thought while we're here we should do something and why don't we help some kids by raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis foundation and it's grown from there.
"We have partnerships with the Bowral and Moss Vale High Schools, Coverdrive with the Bradman Museum and we also have a partnership with Interchange so we spend a lot of money on that each year. People can make applications to help their kids or someone else's kids. We also helped a few kids that were affected by the bushfires after what happened to their families and homes."
