He writes:
"My grandparents Bill and Edith Eirth lived in Wingello just up from the dance hall.
We as a family used to travel from Sydney to visit Nanna and Pop over a number of years until the fires of the late 1960s took their home (there was nothing left standing but the dunny).
I was 12 years old at the time the house came burning down, but the memories of Pop chasing us around the old house, to our aunties preforming the can-can dance in the old local hall are priceless.
I would give anything for all of us to be back there in those times in Wingello, if only for a slice of Nanna's fruit cake, or hot porridge in the mornings.
Rest peacefully Nan and Pop."
