The auction of photos of the late Sir Donald Bradman will be held at the Artvisory Galleries in South Yarra, Victoria.
Famously as a child, Bradman developed his batting technique by using a cricket stump as a bat and hitting a golf ball into the curved face of a water tank at his rural home in Bowral.
He would go on to break and set countless batting records. His test average of 99.9 is as staggering now as it was then and it is unlikely that it will ever be challenged.

In commenting on this rare opportunity to acquire some of these photos Artvisory principal Amanda Swanson said the unique collection of photographs had recently been repatriated to Australia.
"It gives all Australians a unique opportunity to see rare, and in certain cases unrecorded images of the legendary player in many periods of his life, from his early boyhood days through to his playing years and right up to his later years as a reluctant hero and elder statesman for the game he loved and indeed for his country," she said.
"Estimates for these unique framed images are modest - starting at $200-400 and up to $500-1000.
"This auction provides an exceptional opportunity for the wider public to acquire unique and one-off images that recall an era when one man led a team, and some might say a country with incredible feats on the cricket field, that are unmatched to this day."
The images are all viewable online now at www.artvisory.com.au and will be exhibited to the general public for four days leading up to the auction on February 22 at 2.30pm.
A printed version of the auction catalogue is free for every buyer of a work after the auction.
Viewing days are February 19 to February 21 from 11am to 5pm daily.
