Wingecarribee Shire Council's chief information officer John Crawford said the mobile friendly website would deliver a better online customer service experience.
"We're committed to making our council services accessible to customers whenever and wherever they are, and our new website will be a significant step towards this goal," he said.
Central to the improvements will be an improved search function providing easier on-line navigation including a suite of icons displayed on the home page directing customers to the council's most requested services.

"The website will also feature an interactive map that allows users to see what council facilities, events and projects are taking place near them," Mr Crawford said.
"We're also moving some Facebook content, such as the live stream of our council meetings, onto our corporate home page," Mr Crawford explained. "This will bring us in-line with the majority of councils across the state and enable customers who may not be on social media to also view proceedings."
Other improvements include improved accessibility for vision-impaired users and streamlining paper-based forms and transferring them online.
The council's new-look website will go live over the course of February 10.
Mr Crawford said following the website launch The council would continue to improve the site.
"While the new website is being rolled-out by our in-house business transformation team, it's important we constantly improve the site," he added. "That's why we'll also be rolling out a number of additional online improvements over the next 18 months.
"Another way in which we plan on continually improving our online presence is via customer feed-back.
"We're therefore encouraging any customers, who may have suggestions once the new website is up and running, to share them with us."
The council will also continue to have an online presence on social media as well as the dedicated Community Engagement website, Your Say Wingecarribee, and Media Centre.
Feedback and suggestions can be shared with Council at mail@wsc.nsw.gov.au.
