According to a spokesperson for Ramsay Health Care both Nowra Private Hospital and Southern Highlands Private Hospital are closing from December 23 to January 12 for all elective surgery, medical and rehabilitation patients.

They said that day oncology and infusion services would continue to operate by appointment during this time at Nowra.
Meanwhile, Southern Highlands oncology will be closed for the Christmas public holidays.
"We plan the hospital closure months in advance so all our patients are discharged before December 23 or transferred to another hospital for a short period with our assistance," the spokesperson said.
"We will be undertaking some refurbishment works at both Southern Highlands and Nowra [sites] during this time."
The spookesperson said that Southern Highlands Private oncology was open for oncology treatments during the day as required.
"All patients have booked therapy times and these patients are getting their treatment within their prescribed regime," they said.
"I can confirm the oncology unit is closed on the public holidays, which is what usually happens at Southern Highlands."
