Rather, you can enjoy some Christmas cheer with the local Fire and Rescue crews.
The Bowral, Moss Vale and Mittagong crews are taking part in a decorating competition this year to help everyone get in a festive mood.
There'll be tinsel and baubles galore as each station fights to be crowned the winner.
Mayor Duncan Gair and Inspector Bruce Dowling will judge which truck is the most impressive at Eridge Park on Saturday morning (December 19) at 9am.
The winning station will get to have their truck washed by the losing station.
The Bowral crew have already been hard at work decorating their truck and the team at Mittagong has had plenty of little helpers with their decorating.
And be on the look out for Santa in Mittagong's fire truck on Christmas Eve.
He'll be driving around Mittagong so listen out for the siren and be sure to wave hello.
The crew at Bowral Fire Station also wanted to let the community know that over the next few weeks, they will be on Mt Gibraltar conducting hydrant checks and doing pamphlet drops.
Any residents who wish to come and have a conversation in regards to preparing for bushfire season, email captain Chris Cruz at christopher.cruz@fire.nsw.gov.au for more information.
