The weather is getting warmer, but if you travel past one Highlands park you could be forgiven for thinking the trees are rugged up for winter.

Colourfully crafted coverings have been wrapped around the trees that line the roadside boundary of Leighton Gardens in Moss Vale.
The colourful display is an initiative of the Moss Vale Evening CWA branch members known as Yarn Bombing which is a type of street art employing colourful displays of yarn and textured items.

The branch members created wraps for seven of the Plane trees which line Argyle Street in the gardens. They crocheted and knitted lengths of yarn, which were sewn together and embellished ready for wrapping the trees.
Branch president Jennifer Bowe OAM said they were assisted by staff and students from Moss Vale High, Moss Vale Public and St Paul's Primary schools who made "masses of wonderful pom poms".
The are now hanging in the trees and have also been sewn on the wraps.
CWA members were also helped by friends and family, including grandchildren.
The impressive display was done in partnership with Wingecarribee Shire Council.
Mrs Bowe said she was so pleased with the efforts of all and the support of the community, which has made for a very successful project.
She made special mention of the school children who made the hundreds of pom poms and have since come along with their parents and grandparents to find their handiwork.
Mrs Bowe said that recently the Yarn Spinners sat in the park knitting, weaving and spinning under the shade of the Plane trees - an ideal spot to enjoy the beauty of Leighton Gardens.
"The smiles on visitors' faces, the looks of awe from little kids with the larger than life red back on the spider's web - has made us really happy," she said.
The good news is that there is still time to take a closer look at the creative outdoor display.
"Council has allowed us to leave the trees wrapped until the end of November," Mrs Bowe said.
Moss Vale Evening CWA is still going strong - despite COVID restrictions - we get together, socially distanced of course - in smaller numbers and have enjoyed getting together at Dormie House for a coffee and lots of chatter and laughs.
