Social enterprise Resource Recovery Australia (RRA) has diverted 388 tonnes of waste from landfill for re-use in Moss Vale in 2019-20.
The impressive result was announce ahead of National Recycling Week from November 9-15.
RRA general manager Matt Curtis said it had been a challenging year for RRA "with fires at two of our sites, Moss Vale and Tuncurry, and COVID-19 shut-downs."
"Our people remained in high spirits under the testing conditions that 2020 has thrown at us and have done themselves and the company proud in delivering these results," he said.

"Across the country, RRA diverted 1573 tonnes of waste from landfill for reuse and 5096 tonnes for recycling in 2019-20. At the same time, we provided 104 employment opportunities."
RRA is a national social enterprise that works in waste management to keep waste out of landfill, create jobs for people experiencing barriers to work and to engage and connect people in our communities.
It operates in NSW, QLD and the ACT across seven regions.
RRA has been working towards improved reuse outcomes in partnership with Wingecarribee Shire Council since 2013.
"We appreciate the support provided by Wingecarribee Shire Council throughout the bushfire and COVID-19 crisis," Mr Curtis said.
"The Reviva Moss Vale team went above and beyond this year.
"They worked hard to ensure they kept our community and each other safe from the threat of bushfire and COVID-19.
"After the initial threat of the bushfire passed, the team rallied together to move stock and keep the shop safe. They organised a clothing giveaway to local bushfire victims to show their support for the community that supports us."
The Reviva team members are passionate re-use and re-purpose advocates encouraging customers to think outside the box with their projects.
Depot hand Libby Lee joined the Reviva Moss Vale team in 2018, at a time in her life when she felt she needed to make a change.
"Every time we re-purpose or re-use something, it makes a difference. We can change the world," Ms Lee said.
"Every day I feel like I'm making a difference, getting items that shouldn't be in landfill back into circulation.
"The whole team is passionate about re-use. Our team leader Tamara makes creations that are like works of art and our manager Steve is a craftsman of re-use."
The Reviva Moss Vale reuse shop is open Monday - Saturday 8:30 am to 3:00 pm.
