But, due to COVID-19, the runners high has been shelved since March 18, 2020.
Bowral Parkrun is looking to get back on track as the Queensland Department of Sport and Recreation, have recently approved the reopen of all Parkrun events in later November 2020.
Territory Manager of Parkrun Asia Pacific, Renee Gimbert said it's looking promising for the organisation.
"Since we started providing fortnightly updates specific to Parkrun in Australia, we promised to send an additional email with any significant developments," Ms Gimbert said.
"Following extensive discussions with the Queensland Department of Sport and Recreation, we have approval to reopen all Parkrun events in Queensland on November 28.
"When events reopen in Queensland they will each be required to display a unique QR code for contact tracing purposes and we will be strongly encouraging all participants to sign in.
"This system currently exists for Parkruns in New Zealand and the ACT and is working effectively.
"For Parkrunners in New South Wales and Victoria, we are continuing to make steady progress and hope to provide a further update in our regular fortnightly email next week.
"This announcement is another significant step forward on the road to reopening Parkrun across all of Australia, and we thank you as always for your support and patience."
