Saturday, September 19 at Bowral Bowling Club Oscar Wahlin, Dennis Beatty, Russell Knight and Dougald Braithwaite took out this years RSL Shield.
The first week being fours, then followed by singles and triples and this week pairs.

They left there opposition far behind winning by a margin of 39 shots.
On Saturday, Dennis Beatty, Dougald Braithwaite defeated Graham Hunt, Ted McPhee 39-10.
Across this match as the score at the end shows it was always Beatty and Braithwaite in control.
They took out the match by 28 shots.
Oscar Wahlin, Russell Knight defeated Bob Edwards, Tony Oakes 29-19.
This match was always moving along to a win for Whalin and Knight, although Edwards and Oakes put up a strong show it was a ten shot win for Whalin and Knight at the finish and over the three weeks team Braithwaite accumulated 173 shots.
Coming in at second place being Jim Neely, Rita South, Noel Fraser and Gail Fraser with 134 shots.
They narrowly tipped out team Spong and Team Lewis by one shot.
- Jim Neely, Noel Fraser defeated Stephen Della, Josh Woodcock 25-19.
- Rita South, Gail Fraser defeated Bob Crowley, Mick Spong 17-15.
Coming in equal third spot, was team Spong.
- Alistair McGhee, Greg Lewis defeated Glen Phillips, Dave Riddell 20-17.
- Mick Flynn, Carl Spilker defeated Gordon Lewis, Ashley Lewis 23-18.
Both team Spong and Team Lewis finished on 133 shots and on a count back team Spong with 21 shots defeated team Lewis 20 shots.
A feature of the event having two full greens in action and several of the top lady bowlers playing in the tournament and in most cases the lady bowlers holding there own with the men.
