The Illawarra Business Chamber will go ahead with its annual award event which will be held on Friday October 16.
The annual event will be a celebration of business excellence and resilience through what has been a very challenging year for many.
Themed as 'celebrating under the stars', the award ceremony will capture the essence of the Illawarra's resilient business community.
Due to a government-imposed cap on 'corporate events' at 150 attendees, the afternoon event will be held with finalists in attendance and live streamed to ensure the entire community can participate.
Tickets will be restricted to two per finalist organisation, with a limited number of sponsors, judges and special guests also in attendance.
Executive director of the Illawarra Business Chamber Adam Zarth said that the ceremony would take place at the WIN Entertainment Centre in theatre style and will feature light refreshments alongside live entertainment.
"With just over a month left to go, we are excited to announce that the awards will be proceeding as a live event," he said.
"I'm sure everyone will appreciate that to ensure the safety of the community we must limit attendance and adhere to COVID-safe requirements throughout the ceremony.
"However it is vital that we celebrate the Illawarra business community's excellence and resilience this year more than ever.
"I'm also proud to announce that our media partner, WIN Corporation, will produce and broadcast a high-quality live stream of the ceremony to ensure the wider community can share in the excitement of the region's most prestigious business event."
More details will follow in coming weeks, and all finalists, sponsors and judges will be contacted with details of the arrangements.
