One of them was the ArtExpress which saw Frensham School students Annabelle Hickson and Harriet Darvall's artworks displayed as well as Bowral High School's Magic Young.
Goulburn Regional Art Gallery education officer Sally O'Neil opened the exhibitions and explained what the ArtExpress was.
"This section features a selection of outstanding student artworks developed for the art making component of the HSC," Ms O'Neil said.
"Students are preselected for ArtExpress if they obtain a top band result and then assessed for their suitability for gallery display.
Each gallery has the opportunity to create its own ArtExpress show and Ms O'Neil had the opportunity to be a part of the selection process.

"I had the honour of selecting the works for this year's exhibition," she said.
"I was joined by a bunch of representatives from other galleries.
"We saw hundreds of artworks from students across the state, but had to cut them down to 25 works.
"What we wanted was a beautiful and cohesive work that showcased a broad spectrum of styles, concepts and forms."
Annabelle's artwork called Isolation was inspired by her great grandfather who led the British expedition to Antarctica. The artwork represents isolated atmosphere, just like the explorers experienced on the continent.
Harriet's work called Ambiguity In Miniature explores the connection between objects used to create artworks.
Magic's work called The Travelling Circus represents her personal story of moving from town to town.
Exhibitions will continue at the gallery until September 26.
