Indigenous thought leaders will bust the myths about treaty and sovereignty and identify the relationship between the two at an upcoming webinar.
The free online event will be held on Wednesday, July 15 at 11am.
This webinar is part of the National Treaties Summit, organised by ANTaR, the National Native Title Council, and the University of Melbourne.
The aim is to create a national dialogue about the importance of agreement-making, a chance to compare and share experiences from the Australian jurisdictions, to explore international experience and to contribute to the momentum of treaty and agreement-making across Australia.
The webinar will feature Professor Megan Davis, Jamie Lowe and Michael Mansell in conversation with the Australia Institute's chief economist Richard Denniss.
Professor Megan Davis is the pro vice-chancellor at Indigenous UNSW and a professor of law at UNSW Law.
Jamie Lowe is the CEO of the National Native Title Council.
Michael Mansell is the chair of the Aboriginal Land Council of Tasmania.
Attendance is free but registrations are essential.
