As we have eased out of the Covid shutdown many in the community will have noted that some things are no longer as they remember.
The closure of the Best and Less store at Highlands Hub quickly springs to mind. Then there is the scheduled closure of the 7-Eleven stores at Pheasants Nest as they prepare for rebranding.
And while some businesses are closing or changing their brand for good, new entities are opening their doors to the public. Such is the case with a new Thai restaurant in Mittagong, Paste, which has direct links to Michelin-starred restaurants Paste Bangkok and Paste Laos.
There are also the many new and carefully planned ways in which our community groups are adapting to a life with ongoing restrictions. New plans to showcase performing arts talent or reach out to isolated residents, to name a few.
We will continue to share the stories of the community and how we have adapted to an ever-changing, and often restricted environment. We will also seek and share those stories of success and resilience.
Stay safe.
