A temporary single-lane traffic arrangement will be in operation with a give way sign leading from the Old Hume Highway traffic lights.
No passing or overtaking will be permitted over the culvert or in this single lane.
The road was recently closed to allow council staff and contractors to construct stormwater and drainage culverts works.
With the major box culvert structure now in place, crews have been able to partially reopen the road while the remainder of works continue either side of the single lane.
Drivers will still need to drive carefully and be aware of workmen on the site.
There will also be temporary construction speed limits.
It is expected the work will be completed by June 2020, however, all timeframes will be subject to weather conditions.
