This decision is in-line with recommendations as issued by the State Library of NSW.
Council recognises this is a rapidly evolving situation and at present the temporary disruption is limited to our scheduled program of events and activities only.
The operating hours of both Council's Bowral and Mittagong Public Libraries and Home Library Service are presently unaffected.
Council's General Manager Ann Prendergast said public safety was of paramount importance.
"We regret these temporary disruptions but are confident our library users will understand," she said.
"We apologise for any inconvenience."
Users are reminded of Council's range of electronic e-books and e-audiobooks available via its BorrowBox service. The BorrowBox app is free and available from the App Store and Google Play or from a link on the library website.
