Since we get over 500 spectators to our sailing days it was to be the last time would be able to present our sailing spectacle to the public.
Our club captain was again in good form in the second race with daughter Olivia on trapeze. They sailed to a win after placing last on handicap in the first race of the day.
Tim and Nick set the same course as on the previous weekend which the competitors enjoyed with the W wing mark again in play.
The first race was fast for the two A class catamarans taking only 38 minutes and a win on handicap by John Smale with Dave Morrow placing third on handicap.
Bill Quinn split the two with a second place on his Laser Standard Olympic dinghy.
In the second race Dave Morrow was first home again in 38 minutes with Michael and Olivia Brindley second and John Smale third.
On handicap Michael and Olivia were first with Bill Quinn again second and Dave Morrow another third placing.
Chris Guy and Greg Naylor on Lasers battled in both races again as if tethered by a 50m elastic band. They were so close were they all afternoon.
Patrick had lost his wind vane in transit and seemed confused sometimes in picking the many shifts during racing correctly.
Blue Robinson sailed his finn for the first time this season and whilst not as fit as he would have liked, he had a terrific tussle with Owen Muyt sailing his melges 14 with blue rig.
It was good test on yardstick for Owen as the melges 14 is a new, very fast dinghy class.
