The evening held to welcome new awardees was scheduled to be held at the Bradman Centre on March 13.
However organisers have opted to postpone the 2020 event due to public health concerns related to the COVID-19 outbreak in NSW,
Spokeswoman Virginia Adlide OAMsaid that following discussions with the NSW Department of Health the organising committee made the decision to postpone the reception.
"Under the COVID-19 circumstances we believe we have no other rational or responsible option but to postpone the function," she said.
"When the situation is clearer we will be in contact again."
Over 100 people had registered.
Ms Adlide said that a new date for the evening would be "announced in due course."
