It was a surreal feeling as he took to the field for his 300th match.
With his family in attendance and showings of respect from both teams, his lifetime in cricket had come to this.
And he's no where near calling stumps on his career just yet.

One of three life members of the Hill Top Cricket Club, Ian Woolfe has had a storied cricket career and still loves the game as much as he did when he was a boy.
"I started playing cricket at ten years of age," Woolfe said.
"I lived in a little village ten miles outside of Bathurst. We had a cricket side and I went up there often as a child and if the team was short, I had a game.
"We didn't have junior cricket in those days so I had to learn and play with the grown ups.
"We won the third grade competition when I was 14 and I still have the premiership to this day.
"Another highlight was winning a first grade premiership with a Bathurst club, and scoring a century for dad, just after he died.
'I then went to the Sydney area and played for Bexley and St George in the Sydney competitions.
"My family and I then moved to Hill Top in 1990. I had given up on cricket by that stage, but then found out Hill Top had a village side.
"I thought to myself, that's interesting, so I went up to Boronia Park and thought I could definitely play against this mob (laughs).
"I began playing with Hill Top in 1992 and I've continued playing and have now just played my 300th game."
Woolfe's 300th was played against Bundanoon at Baronia Park. He was shown respect by both teams and said it was a different feeling than a usual game.
"I felt funny," Woolfe said.
"When I looked out I saw the Bundanoon players had formed a guard of honour for me.
"I had my wife and daughter watching. They were proud of me for playing my 300th.
"So it was a little different from the normal game of cricket."
When asked how much longer will he continue to play the game he love, Woolfe didn't seem keen on pulling up stumps just yet and still enjoys everything the game has to offer.
"(Laughs) I don't know just yet," Woolfe said.
"I like all the aspects of the game,"
"If Hill Top have a third grade squad next year I'll play. Second grade is a bit much, I was first grade in my time, but for me it's all about the mate-ship and getting to know the other players.
"I've been a batsmen and I love it. I enjoy having a bowl and I'm pretty decent in the field. I just really enjoy playing cricket.
"I love the mate-ship and at the end of the game getting together for an hour to discuss things. I found it very social.
"We won the 2017-18 third grade competition and I still ware the Hill Top premiership cap each game (laughs).
"If I didn't have cricket, I wouldn't have the friends I do, that's the main reason I'm hanging around.
"God's been good to me and I can still run and what have you.
"I don't feel old (laughs). I've never told my age and we'll leave it that way."
