The church has helped people who are down on their luck for various reasons, and in need of food, company or both.
This help has been expanded recently, with the assistance of a new partnership.
The Anglicare Pantry now has individual, ready-made frozen meals, which are donated from the bistro of the Mittagong RSL club.
The meals will be freely offered to all those in need alongside the Anglicare community pantry.
Shoppers can also get a large bag of assorted pantry items for $10 at the pantry.
The Anglicare van will be at the church on February 28 and every second Friday thereafter from 10.30am to 11.30am.
The church also has a drop-in centre and community pantry from 10am to midday every Friday.
Barista-style coffee and an assorted array of complimentary cakes are on offer as well.
This was made possible through the support of bakeries including Chelsea Bakery, Gumnut Patisserie and Bakers Delight.
Anglicare Pantry coordinator Lynette Ray said the service was not income tested.
"Some people have times of need for a moment," she said.
"They're finding it difficult and they're finding they need help."
The church would like to more volunteers to assist with the drop-in centre on Fridays.
Volunteers are needed on a weekly and fortnightly basis.
The service helps people in a variety of situations, including pensioners, young families and those finding it hard to make ends meet with mortgages.
If you can assist with this, email Lynette Ray at l.ray@live.com.au or call St Stephen's Church in Mittagong on 4871 1947.
