However last month her service to the performing arts as an actor and entertainer was the focus, when she received an Australia Day award.
The OAM wears many hats, including ambassador for the Actors Benevolent Fund.
She has also been an ambassador for Tulip Time, a member on the Wingecarribee Shire Arts and Cultural Board and an ambassador for ageing.
Throughout her career, she has received several high profile awards.
This includes a Logie Award for most popular NSW female personality in 1978, and an Actors Equity Lifetime Achievement Award from the Equality Foundation in 2017.
She also received the Norman Kessell Memorial Award for her role in Glorious in 2008.
Ms Brown has acted in various play including Duet, Glorious and Mother and Son.
She's also appeared on the small screen in the film Razzle Dazzle and the television shows The Naked Vicar Show, My Name's McGooley, What's Yours? and The Mavis Bramston Show.
