The free Business Recovery Workshops are being supported by Southern Highlands Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SHCCI) in conjunction with the Illawarra Chamber, Southern Region Business Enterprise Centre, Destination Southern Highlands, Southern Highlands Food and Wine Association, Regional Development Australia Southern Inland, Wingecarribee Shire Council, BDCU Alliance Bank and Moss Vale Rural Chamber of Commerce.
It has been prompted by calls of distress from businesses in the Southern Highlands, with more than 5000 businesses in the region directly or indirectly impacted by the ongoing bushfire crisis.
In an unprecedented move organisers have brought together similar minds to give advice, input and strategies to help businesses recover from this devastation.
SHCCI chairman Steve Horton said he encouraged local businesses to join in the wonderful venture promoted by a local media and marketing company.
"This is a good opportunity to get involved," he said.
Free business and marketing sessions for all business owners and their staff on how to market their business with a strategy that will enable growth through engagement will be on offer.

Those attending the workshops are encouraged to bring a notepad as there will be a lot of information, strategies and great ideas to help businesses in the coming months.
During the sessions you will learn about:
- Success stories from businesses in the Southern Highlands since the January fires
- 5 things you can do right now to help your business receiving exposure
- Local opportunities to get your business exposure
- Public relations both near and far
- Social media strategies for your business
- Collaboration with your community
- Customer service and how the customer journey is vital in your business
The workshops will be held on February 5 and 11 at 411 Bong Bong Street, Bowral from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
