A spokesperson from the Bureau of Meteorology said the region would not have the elevated fire classification seen last weekend.
Temperatures on Friday are expected to be in the low to mid thirties.
Saturday is set to be around 20 degrees Celsius with lower temperatures expected on Sunday and Monday.
Isolated rainfall, increased moisture and humidity is also expected over the weekend.
A spokesperson from the Wollondilly Fire Control Centre said that there had been patchy rain on the fireground.
"Some areas have had less than 2 mm whereas other areas have had 10 mm rain. Unfortunately it was not significant rainfall," they said.
"A north-west wind will come across and it will make the situation a little unstable.
"It will be a similar situation to Saturday but hopefully not as bad.
"We are reminding people to be aware and revise their bushfire safety plans.
"At the moment crews are strengthening containment lines in the Wombeyan, High Range and Woodlands areas before Friday and crews are strategically placed at the Morton Fire.
"We also had a lot of lightening over the fire ground last night. We are waiting for the clouds to clear so we can do a line scan and see where the fire is."
