The Bong Bong Picnic Races will kick off on 11:45 am on November 22 and will celebrate 60 years since the races moved to Wyeera.

A main parade will start the official welcome down the main straight. There willl be an Elm tree dedication to former Bong Bong Picnic Races president David Goulder who passed away last year and a small presentation with his family.
Suzannah Cowley said that David's vision for Wyeera has come to fruition.
"David wanted Wyeera to not only run as a picnic race but to have it as a home for all equestrian events," she said.
"His legacy is to ensure it keeps going and I think it has.
"It's community owned and volunteered run."
The Bong Bong Picnic Races will also shine a light on picnic races.
"The picnic races are a social event highlight," Ms Cowley said.
"It's really important on how these events support the community and important these event are to people.
"It's about coming together and the social fabric.
"We have a good turn out - we are happy.
"However the numbers a slightly down and that's a culmination of the drought and other issues.
"It will be a good day and plenty of fun."
