Water level was at 46 per cent which was a shock as it was 30 inches (2.5 ft or 0.76 m) below last week's level. Not sufficient water to launch the big FAV so our handy Aluminium RIB came out of its box and did a sterling job with Phil and Vicki in charge. Especially when it came to helping capsized catamarans.
The Dyer family teenagers nearly had the dam's first "marked wreck" as their Purple People Eater Surfcat almost "ate" Hugo and the two Phil's in resisting salvage. A good pair of bolt cutters would have been handy and a better towing system on the RIB is required.
PPE has been condemned to the tip by father Nick. (Or taken back to GK's as the boys would like some "pocket money" for the SS fittings, mast, boom, sail, and beach dolly. A new pair of hulls is needed. GK may be able to help here. Just ask Hugo. You never gave up on the water yesterday.)

A meeting was held at Burrawang on Saturday morning, October 26 to inform the public of the proposed Burrawang to Avon dam tunnel.
This concept scheme was first promoted in August 2006 and is the preferred solution to Greater Sydney's water needs.
We have not received any follow up from Saturday's meeting as yet. Our Geoff Sweeney may have more knowledge to give us at next week's AGM.
