When Ms Chau, saw the work her architecture firm had done at The Rose Room she saw it as the perfect opportunity to combine her two passions.
As the co-artistic director of Blush Opera since 2013, Ms Chau has toured and sung at festivals around the country drafting briefs and liaising engineers full time. She made her debut with Opera Australia in 2016.
She now has the opportunity to tour Blush Opera in the Southern Highlands where they will present an afternoon recital combining classic and favourite arias with a contemporary song cycle by composer Paul Smith.
Ms Chau will perform alongside talented operatic colleagues Ayako Ohtake and Alice Girle and pianist Antonio Fernandez.
The three singers will take turns singing songs in Smith's Fantasy Songs which tell the stories of different classic figures from mythology and fable.
Ticket are $20 from blushopera.com/calendar, with the event beginning at 2:30 pm.
