A 38.8m tower crane is now part of the Bowral skyline.
A time-lapse camera has been installed to capture every step of the construction process and regular snapshots will be shared on our Facebook page and in our monthly Redevelopment Newsletters as building continues.
Stay up to date with changes at the hospital, ask questions and follow our progress, by attending our monthly pop up information stand, following our Facebook page or emailing us at SWSLHD-BowralHospitalRedevelopment@health.nsw.gov.au
You can also request to be added to our Monthly Redevelopment Newsletter distribution list via this email address.
DonateLife
During DonateLife Week, Bowral and District Hospital will have an information stall to prompt discussion about donation with loved ones and register your decision.
I would love to see everyone at the August 1 event from 10am to 2.30pm.
The Southern Highlands Community and Consumer Participation team will be cooking a barbecue lunch for all attending.
The event also marks the first anniversary of the Hospital's participation in the femoral bone donation program, supported by the NSW Bone Bank.
Vaccinations
While we are in the thick of winter, it is important to vaccinate against influenza.
There are two main types of influenza virus that cause infections in humans - type A and B.
It can occur year-round but peaks in winter.
Children, people aged over 65, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and pregnant women are at a higher risk of complications from influenza infection, and all are eligible for a free annual flu vaccine.
Get yours today.

Bowral and District Hospital general manager
