According to the BOM outlook July to September daytime temperatures are likely to be warmer than average. With more cloud-free days and nights expected, there is an increased risk of frost in susceptible areas.
The month of June 2019 received lower-than-average rainfall across the Southern Highlands.
Bowral, Mittagong, Moss Vale and Berrima experienced a drier than usual month.
Other villages in the region didn't have current climate data on the BOM website to compare.
Dam levels in the Southern Highlands have been affected by the low rainfall.
Wingecarribee Reservoir is at 57.1 per cent capacity and Fitzroy Falls Reservoir is 81.7 per cent full.
The total storage capacity for all dams in the greater Sydney region is at 52.1 per cent as of July 2.
