The community is invited to a barbecue on June 22 to help with plans to save the Fitzroy Falls Spiny Crayfish from extinction.
South East Local Land Services and DPI Fisheries are working together to secure the future of the critically endangered Fitzroy Falls Spiny Crayfish.
They organisations are seeking input from the Aboriginal community to ensure that any plan shows respect, culture and inclusion into the program.
This project is supported by Local Land Services through fiunding from the Australian governments' National Landcare Program.
The barbecue will be held at Myra Vale Road boat launch from midday to 3pm.
