A group of Southern Highlands crossfitters commanded a swathe of podium finishes at a crossfit competition in Campbelltown last weekend (May 11).

Sixteen members from Benton Gym Crossfit in Braemar aged from 15 to 54 entered the Two Eleven Games Pairs competition at the United Training Grounds gym in Campbelltown.

The eight teams of two dominated the results, with three firsts, three seconds, one third and a ninth placing.
Benton Gym owner, Ben Garard, and brother, Ricky Garard, finished first in the RX male pairs division, sister Cindy Garard and team mate Lauren Jones, took out first place in the RX female pairs category and Andrew Mevissen and Sam Charlwood finished first in the Beginners male pairs contest.
Three Benton Gym pairs scored second places - Chris Hilder and Anthony Fedele in the Open male pairs, Lauren Napier and Ami Neal in the Beginners female pairs, and Ben Reid and Tiana van Stalan in the Beginners male/female pairs.
Third place in the Beginners female pairs went to Benton Gym members, Belinda Boylson and Bernie Morrison.
And Dan Bove and team mate, Hanan Chidiac, finished ninth in the Opens male/female category.
The event, which was tailored for crossfitters of all abilities, saw competitors tackle five workouts including running, rowing, power cleans, push ups, dumb bell lifting, barbell snatches, deadlifts, skipping, burpees and air squats.
