This includes a crash in which a man lost his arm and another head-on crash between a truck and car.
Despite a well-attended meeting in Bullio in late 2018 no major funding has yet been allocated for the road.

However, Goulburn MP Wendy Tuckerman has thrown who support behind a push for improvements.
She recently went for a drive along the notorious road with Rohan Berry who lives along the road and who was a spokesman at last year's meeting at Bullio.
Mr Berry said he was told by Ms Tuckerman that she was motivated to work with them to get the following done:
- Arrange a safety audit by appropriate specialists
- Arrange for specialist consultants to create a grant application that covers the immediate safety issues and the longer term tourism opportunities. This would be based on a multi-year improvement plan. It was acknowledged that WSC have not done in this in the past and that it appears they need assistance in this area.
- She intended to follow up with the State Regional Roads Minister to request their help in this process.
Ms Tuckerman has since indicated to the Southern Highland News that she was keen to find solutions.
"I am aware the condition of this road has been a concern for the residents for some time particularly in times of increased tourist traffic and also exacerbated by Quarry trucks that operate regularly," Ms Tuckerman said.
"The road is a regional road maintained by the Wingecarribee Shire Council.
"I recently visited the site with local residents to see first hand the condition of the road and to better understand the safety concerns reported by constituents. I met with the mayor and general manager of the Wingecarribee Shire Council on a number of matters, in particular the Wombeyan Caves Road.
"I highlighted my concerns with regards to the condition of the road and asked whether a safety audit had occurred and whether a strategy had been developed with regard to maintenance etc.
"I have requested the council provide me with a maintenance plan and funding attributed to it currently and for their upcoming budget. In the meantime I have written to the Minister for Regional Roads Paul Toole MP, requesting information on applicable funding opportunities that may be available to council.
"What's important going forward is to understand what measures are needed to ensure the road is safe for users and determine applicable funding streams to ensure this happens."
