Real estate agent at Highlands Property, Rosanna Webb, will brave freezing temperatures and high altitudes in the 5,380m climb to base camp to raise money for charity.
Rosanna first saw the adventure on Instagram, she will join ten other real estate agents from around Australia on the trip of a lifetime.
"I'd had a bit of a rough year with a marriage separation," said Rosanna.
"I thought, I'm going to do something for myself, I'm going to do something silly like trek to base camp."
Rosanna has partnered with the Seven Women Project to help provide disadvantaged women and children with an education so they can provide for themselves.
"As a single mum the charity resonated with me and gave me an extra drive," Rosanna said.
The busy mum has been preparing for the hike since June 2018.
"I know I can carry 17 kilograms because that's the weight of my son," Rosanna said.
"I've tried to get to the gym a lot more but it's very hard being a single mum and working full time."
Rosanna looks forward to working with the charity and gaining some perspective.
"Realistically getting out of bed on Monday is not that hard," Rosanna said.
So far $4500 has been raised for the project with a goal of $10,000.
The trip will last for three weeks starting on April 26 to May 15 with 12 to 13 days spent trekking on Everest.
