With the Federal election around the corner, the Australian Electoral Commission is reminding everyone to register to vote.
If you are 16 or 17 you may enrol now so when you turn 18 you'll be able to vote, that means anyone who turns 18 before May 18 still has a chance to have their say in who runs the country.
Voting in Australia is compulsory and those who don't vote on the day will be fined.
To enrol to vote, visit www.aec.gov.au/enrol or alternatively visit the nearest post office to pick up a form.
You can also check to see if you've enrolled to vote by visiting www.aec.gov.au/check.
For more information or to update your enrollment details, visit www.aec.gov.au
Registrations close on April 18 at 8 pm.
