Brigadoon
Brigadoon is back again, bagpipes and all. Kicking off at 10 am on April 6 at Bundanoon Oval, Bundanoon. There will be plenty of entertainment for everyone, including traditional Scottish music and dancing, games and activities such as the egg toss and fergie stones, and a traditional Scottish ceilidh to end the evening.
Moss Vale High School - A night of M.A.D.D.n.e.s.s
Students of Moss Vale High School will be showcasing their talent on April 4. Consisting of 18 performances, students will be singing, dancing, acting and playing musical instruments for your entertainment. Doors open at 5:45 for a 6:30pm at the Moss Vale High School Hall. Tickets are $6 for an adult and $4 dollars for students, purchase your tickets at the school office or at the door.
Kangaloon sesquicentenary
Kangaloon Public School is celebrating 150 years. Former students will come from far and wide to join current pupils and staff celebrate a very special birthday on April 6. Festivities begin at 10 am, featuring games for the kids, vintage car display, art exhibitions and the school's history on display. Current students have been collecting oral histories from their predecessors while teachers have been researching the history of the school and will publish a book to celebrate the school's sesquicentennial anniversary.
Highlands Strings
Highlands strings will be filling St Jude's church with the sounds of music on April 4 at 7 pm. The community orchestra for young musicians will showcase a variety of musical styles. Conductor and music director of Highlands Strings, Elise Ali believes that an encouraging orchestral environment is essential for young musicians. Students from Moss Vale, Mittagong, Bowral and Glenquarry public schools will perform on the night. Tickets cost $5 and will be available at the door.
Colo Vale Markets
The Colo Vale Village Market is back on the first Saturday of the month on April 6. There'll be classic cars, vintage caravans and old home wares to tickle your fancy. If it's fresh produce you're after. there will be plenty to pick from with fresh Robertson potatoes in stock. You'll be in for a treat with homemade pies, sausage rolls and cakes to keep you satisfied. You can check the village market out at the Colo Vale Village Memorial Hall, 28 Railway Avenue, Colo Vale from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm.
