Accessibility upgrade
Councillors will discuss accessibility upgrades to Wingello Hall.
The scope of this work provides upgraded and accessible toilet facilities within the hall and installation of a new external accessible public entrance ramp.
This upgrade work will ensure safe access to all areas of the hall facility for all users.
Service review
Councillors will consider several recommendations on the future operational model for the Southern Regional Livestock Exchange (SRLX) following completion of a Service Delivery Review.
The first is that in the first quarter of 2020 council advertise for expressions of interest (EOI) to lease the Southern Regional Livestock Exchange with a preference for a long-term capital lease.
The second is that the general manager engage with the affected staff at the SRLX, and notify the relevant unions in accordance with the provisions of clause 39 of the Workplace Change of the Local Government Award 2017.
Society lease
A decision made by council to approve a 21-year lease to the Berrima District Historical and Family History Society at the memorial hall at 114 Main Street, Mittagong.
The premises is shared with the Mittagong Playhouse theatre group.
Councillors Turland, Larry Whipper and Ken Halstead have given notice that it is their intention to request a motion passed on March 13 be rescinded.
If the rescission is carried, the councillors will move a motion to approve a twelve month term of the lease with society and within the term council work with the society seek an alternative solution within the twelve month term.
The motion would also include an inspection of the premises with both the society and the Mittagong Playhouse groups and those that made a submission in respect of the proposed lease be notified in writing of the resolution.
