A Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) spokesperson said the Highlands should expect the rain to subside in the coming days. In the last week the Highlands has exceeded its monthly rainfall averages. Data collected by the BoM since March 14 showed that Bowral recorded 110 millimetres, almost 15mm higher than the mean.
Robertson recorded the most rain, having received 145mm over the past seven days. The Moss Vale station recorded 104.4mm, dwarfing the 19.8mm received in March of 2018. While this increased precipitation is a good news for drought conditions, the bureau was not as optimistic. The representative said that "repeated rainfall is what is needed to make the biggest impact."
