Unlike the fictional Brigadoon, which only appears once ever 100 years, Brigadoon in the Southern Highlands is an annual event. it will rise out of the mist at dawn on April 6, 2019.

Opening the ceremony and saying a warm Fàilte will be the 2019 Chieftain, Honourable David Hurley, followed by Rob Langley, singing the Australian National Anthem, Advance Australia Fair and Mary Kiani will perform the Scottish National Song, Flower of Scotland.
This year Brigadoon will have a new entertainment area, with a covered food court area and fiddlers tent near by to provide continuous music throughout the day, starting at 10:30am.
Bob McInnes and Jane Ellis will be leading the great Scottish fiddle tradition, with a selection of airs to tug at the heartstrings, snappy strathspeys, lilting jigs and driving reels. They will also be joined by Bundanoon Primary School Choir, Green Jam Fiddle group alongside vocalist Patricia Kerr, accordionist Sally Andrews, String Loaded Celtic Fiddle Band, Mary Kiani and Holly Williamson and the Sydney Scottish Fiddlers.
Back again this year are the children's games. There will be the wee heavy weight championship for pre-school aged kids, egg throwing challenge for pairs, and brigaball to name a few.
There will also be the kilted dash, which is open for all ages, the lifting of the Bundanoon Stones, the Brigadoon challenge and the Australian Heavy Weight Challenge - where there can only be one winner.
Relax at the end of the day with a traditional Scottish ceilidh. There will traditional music, singing, dancing, and haggis tasting as well as raffles and lucky door prizes to be won.
