This is according to Bureau of Meteorology's (BoM) latest climate outlook report.
The outlook report provides a climate overview from March to May, and the probability of temperatures and rainfall exceeding median figures.
Warmer than average days and nights are likely for almost all of Australia.
For daytime temperatures, the chances of being warmer than median are very high, greater than 80 per cent for most of the country, including the Highlands.
These warm outlooks follow Australia's warmest December and January on record.
Bureau of Meteorology senior hydrologist Dr Robert Pipunic said the outlook was for "a very high chance of warmer than average autumn days for most of mainland Australia".
"Night time temperatures are also likely to be warmer than average for most of Australia," Dr Pipunic said.
It is very likely Bowral will exceed the median maximum temperature of 19.5 degrees and median minimum temperature of 8.6 degrees between March and May.
Similar temperatures are expected in Robertson and Kangaloon.
In January, the hottest day in the Highlands was Australia Day with a maximum temperature of 39.4 degrees.
This was slightly hotter than the second hottest day, which was on January 15 at a maximum temperature of 37.2 degrees.
So far the hottest day on average this month is Monday, February 18, with a maximum temperature of 35.1 degrees.
In terms of rainfall, the outlook shows there is no strong tendency towards a wetter or drier than average autumn.
According to the BoM, there is a 50 per cent chance Bowral's rainfall will be above the median of 210mm between March and May.
If you live in Robertson, there is an equal chance of the receiving 223mm of rainfall.
The northern villages has an equal chance of exceeding 174mm of rain over the three-month period.
High Range is expected to see less rainfall, with an equal likelihood of receiving 147mm of rain.
The BoM will release its February end of month outlook on Thursday, February 28.
