High temperatures and strong winds, compounded by Tuesday’s accident at Yerrinbool, have reduced the air quality to ‘very poor’, with the dust storm here to linger until Wednesday afternoon.
NSW office for Environment and Heritage have issued a warning for anyone with heart or lung disease to limit their exposure to the outdoors and to refrain from any form of heavy exertion.
Older adults, children and those who suffer from asthma are also being advised to reduce their exposure to the dust storm.
Anyone who is experiencing symptoms is being asked to rest and use reliever medication.
If symptoms persist, seek medical advice.
If you have any photos of the dust storm, please email them to vera.demertzis@fairfaxmedia.com.au with the details.
