The annual Small Farm Field Day gave attendees the opportunity to find inspiration, pick up tricks of the trade and purchase products to help with their productivity on the land.
Event manager Elizabeth Nichols said she was pleased with attendance numbers over the two-day event.
There were about 1500 people at the event on Saturday, while about 2000 came through the gates on Sunday.
“It was very well received. With the rain on Saturday morning, the crowds were a little bit small,” she said.
“We want to promote sustainable options for local farmers, give them ideas for new products and information from the NSW Farmers Association and Local Land Services.”
Ms Nichols said the event brought many farming products together in one place for primary producers.
“You can view different tractors and compare them all at once, rather than going from here to there,” she said.
“It’s easy to get around and it’s a very relaxed, family day.”
The highlights of the weekend included the Boggy Creek Horse Show and the working dog demonstration.
Popular events for families included the reptile demonstration and the Coolawarra and Storybook Alpacas pen.
There was also a strong focus on the drought during the two-day event.
A raffle was held over the weekend and the Bowral Co-Op raised funds for its drought appeal over the weekend.
