And she hopes to touch base with Wingecarribee voters in a forum on January 24.
Ms Hannan said she would be “out in your neighbourhoods door knocking and listening”.
“I will be agitating on the many local issues that matter to the people of Wollondilly and Wingecaribee. Families who have lived here for decades and even generations, deserve a real representative that will fight for them, that is why I have decided to step up,” she said.
Among her focuses will be the return of local planning to councils and transparency and advocate for community interests.
“I plan to get to the bottom of the Dam Raising issue and work to overturn it,” she said.
“I intend to get to the bottom of why our 13,000 signatures and a South West Sydney Koala Strategy were not properly debated. I will push the government toward a holistic solution as demanded by 13,000 in and around the electorate.
“The same goes for train timetables, electrification and public transport as a whole, which are the foundation of sustaining and building our region and bringing the right investment and local jobs.
“Most importantly I plan to have an open-door policy at my electoral office and plan to run six community forums per year, to ensure each and every one of you are heard and your issues addressed as effectively as possible.”
Ms Hannan has headed out into the community to find out more about what voters want with a series of community forums from January 21 to January 25.
She will be at the Scottish Arms in Bowral on January 24 from 6pm to 8pm to listen to voters and share her thoughts on key issues.
