Bong Bong Picnic Racecourse, 460 Kangaloon Rd, East Bowral
When:
Friday, November 23
Gates open at 10am, but festivities don’t kick off until noon.
The day will be kicked off with an official welcome parade before the first race at 1:15pm.
The last race of the day is at 5pm.
How to get there:
Bong Bong Picnic Club has organised shuttle buses coming from two directions on the day. There will be no charge for the journey to the racecourse, but it will cost $10 per person for a return journey. Tickets must be pre-purchased.
Run 1:
Pick up
11am and 12pm – Sutton Forest Hotel
11:10am and 12:10pm – Moss Vale Clock
Return trips at 5:15pm, 5:30pm, 5:30pm, 5:45pm and 6pm
Run 2:
11am and 12pm – Mittagong train station
11:10am and 12:10pm – Railway St, Bowral
Return trips at 5pm, 5:15pm, 5:30pm, 5:30pm, 5:45pm and 6pm
Parking:
Parking is limited, so get there early. No parking is permitted on Kangaloon Road or Hordern Road.
No BYO alcohol – any alcohol in vehicles will be confiscated.
Food:
There will be a number of food stalls and coffee carts as well as the Rotary Club and Junior Rugby Club barbecues.
Alcohol can only be purchased on site and strict RSA conditions are enforced.
Fashions on the Field:
The theme of the day is: Celebrating Farmers and is sponsored by Biota dining and rooms, Auberjean, Baxter boots and shoes, United Culture and Glam Bowral.
Registration is at Bong Bong office between 12pm and 1:30pm.
Winners announced and fashion parade at 2pm.
