On Wednesday, November 14 at Bowral Bowling Club Noel Fraser defeated Mike Holmewood 31-30 to move into the semi-final of the senior singles.

Fraser had a good start and after 11 ends he had a 15-5 lead.
Then Holmewood started to bowl at his best and won the next seven ends to hit the front 16-15.
The next seven ends the match had both players in front but it was Holmewood who had a 27-23 lead and looked headed for victory.
On the 29th end the scoreboard showed Holmewood leading 30-29 and he only needed one shot to win.
Fraser with such a big lead early and had seen this lead eroded and appeared to be in big trouble.

This is not the first time he has been in this situation in a match but he found the magic formula to get out of trouble.
In what proved a top class match Fraser picked up three shots on the last end to win by one shot and move into the semi-final.
Williams sees off Watson
Owen Williams defeated Peter Watson 31-17 to move into the semi-final.
Watson was able to maintain his good form early and had a 13-9 lead after 10 ends.
Williams was required to dig deep and took the lead 18-17 after 18 ends, then took control of the last few ends to run out a comfortable 14 shot winner.
