The trail will be open from 10am to 5pm on the weekends of November 3 and 4, and November 10 and 11.
There will be nine new studios open this year.
The event is a part of the wider Southern Highlands Arts Festival, which runs throughout November.
Wingecarribee Shire Council cultural development officer Jenny Kenna said the weekends were an opportunity for Highlanders and visitors alike to discover something new.
First-time studio trail artists will include Indigenous artist Peter Swain, Bundanoon painter Jonny Vaupel, Robertson print makers Annie Day and Robin Ezra, Wingello artist Wingello artist Sandra Passerman and Robertson artist Susan Smith.
“Be prepared to have a leisurely day, see some beautiful parts of the Highlands and meet the artists,” she said.
“They’re so keen to share what they do, talk about their work and meet people who are interested in seeing their work.”
Ms Kenna said it was a great event to bring a family member or friend along to.
“A lot of people bring someone with them,” she said.
“Try and bring a young person so they have the experience of doing something different, meeting an artist and spending time with someone doing this activity.”
There were about 6000 visits to studios across the Highlands during last year’s event.
Visitors came from Sydney, Canberra, Wollongong, the Central Coast, Goulburn and Wollondilly.
Organisers are expecting similar numbers this year.
There are 16 prizes to win, courtesy of some of the artists on the trail.
Visitors can put in a free entry at every studio they visit.
Maps can be downloaded from the Southern Highlands Arts Festival website.
You can also find a map at the Southern Highlands Welcome Centre, at the studios along the Arts Studio Trail, at the Robertson Cheese Factory and at the Glass Cafe in Mittagong.
