Watts is studying a bachelor of Health Science and is part of the Spartans basketball team at Castleton University in Vermont.
Joshua has been at the university since August this year and has experienced many aspects of college life including attending his first Homecoming parade and watching his first of many live American Football games.
He said he was also looking forward to Halloween and Thanksgiving in the next few weeks.
As a student-athlete receiving a scholarship, Watts is expected to maintain a high level of grades in order to be able to play under the NCAA rules.
“I am going well in my application to studies. As a freshman I don’t expect to get much court time for the next year or two, but I am training hard to improve my overall game,” he said.

Castletown has moved into the Little East Conference which is considered the toughest conference in Watts’ NCAA division, and the winner has an automatic entry into the NCAA finals play-offs.
The Spartans’ season starts on November 13 at Rivier College in New Hampshire, USA.
"I am enjoying college life, but I also miss my family, friends, and team mates back home,” Watts said.
Joshua will fly home for Christmas when he has a week’s break from playing and training.
He will then fly back to the USA until early May 2019 when his University breaks for summer vacation until the end of August.
