The 100th anniversary of the truce is now upon us.
That time, on November 11, 2018, will be a special time of remembrance in the Southern Highlands.
Bowral RSL sub- Branch, under the leadership of president John Cummins, will hold a commemorative Service at Bowral War Memorial Park on the corner of Bong Bong and Merrigang Streets, Bowral.
The service will begin at 10:30am on Sunday, November 11 and conclude at about 11:15am.
Naval Personnel from HMAS Albatross in Nowra will provide the Cataflaque Party and the guest speaker will be Commander Anthony Savage RAN commanding officer of 816 squadron at Albatross.
A special Remembrance Day Service will also be held at St Judes Anglican Church, Bowral att 9:00am November 11, preceding the Commemoration.
